ACT’s only casino, Casino Canberra, which is owned by Aquis Entertainment, recently underwent a $14 million upgrade to its casino facilities. In June 2017, Aquis was also given the green light to proceed with a $307 million refurbishment to expand the casino into a five-star complex, so there’s some big plans in the works for this gaming venue. Casino Canberra currently offers 30 of the world’s most popular table games and several great restaurants and bars, but don’t come looking for the pokies, as Casino Canberra is not authorised to offer electronic poker machines – these are restricted to ACT’s clubs only.
